Article L2542-12 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

In communes where several faiths are professed, each faith has a separate burial place.

Where there is only one cemetery, it is divided by walls, hedges or ditches into as many parts as there are different faiths, with a separate entrance for each, and proportioning this space to the number of inhabitants of each faith.

Dans les communes où on professe plusieurs cultes, chaque culte a un lieu d’inhumation particulier.

Lorsqu’il n’y a qu’un seul cimetière, on le partage par des murs, haies ou fossés, en autant de parties qu’il y a de cultes différents, avec une entrée particulière pour chacune, et en proportionnant cet espace au nombre d’habitants de chaque culte.
