I. – For the purposes of this Book :
a) The words “France” and “territory of the French Republic” mean mainland France and the territorial collectivities governed by Article 73 of the Constitution as well as Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin ;
b) The words “French companies” refer to companies which have their registered office in mainland France or in the aforementioned territorial collectivities.
Except for the provisions concerning the freedom to provide services and the freedom of establishment, these words also refer to Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.
II. – Notwithstanding I, for the application of the provisions of 1° of Article L. 310-2, Article L. 310-6 and Article L. 310-10, the words “in France” mean mainland France, the territorial collectivities governed by Article 73 of the Constitution Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon and the Wallis and Futuna Islands.
