Article L3111-3 of the French Public Health Code

Thanatopractors undergoing practical training and practising must be vaccinated against hepatitis B, unless they are currently infected or have been previously infected. Proof of vaccination or contraindication is attached to the application for training or authorisation to practise, under conditions guaranteeing the confidentiality of the information provided, as defined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat. The occupational physician shall ensure that employed thanatopractors meet the conditions mentioned in the first sentence.

Les thanatopracteurs en formation pratique et en exercice doivent, en l’absence d’infection en cours ou antérieure, être vaccinés contre l’hépatite B. La preuve de la vaccination ou de la contre-indication est jointe à l’inscription en formation ou à la demande d’habilitation à exercer, dans des conditions garantissant la confidentialité des informations transmises, définies par décret en Conseil d’Etat. Le médecin du travail s’assure que les thanatopracteurs salariés vérifient les conditions mentionnées à la première phrase.
