At the end of their term of office, any departmental council president or any vice-president delegated by the latter who, in order to exercise their mandate, has ceased their salaried professional activity is entitled, at their request, to professional training and a skills assessment under the conditions set out in Part Six of the Labour Code.
When the person concerned requests to benefit from the training leave provided for by articles L. 6322-1 to L. 6322-3 of the same code, as well as the skills assessment leave provided for by article L. 6322-42 of the same code, the time spent in local office is assimilated to the periods of activity required for access to this leave.
