Article L3132-12 of the French Labour Code

Certain establishments, the operation or opening of which is made necessary by the constraints of production, activity or the needs of the public, may as of right derogate from the rule of Sunday rest by allocating weekly rest in rotation.

A Conseil d’Etat decree determines the categories of establishments concerned.

Certains établissements, dont le fonctionnement ou l’ouverture est rendu nécessaire par les contraintes de la production, de l’activité ou les besoins du public, peuvent de droit déroger à la règle du repos dominical en attribuant le repos hebdomadaire par roulement.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat détermine les catégories d’établissements intéressées.
