In certain industries dealing with perishable materials or having to respond at certain times to an extraordinary increase in work, employees’ weekly rest may be suspended twice a month at the most, without the number of such suspensions in the year exceeding six.
Hours worked in this way on the day of the weekly rest period are considered as overtime and are deducted from the overtime credit provided for in the decrees implementing the provisions relating to working hours.
The list of industries that may benefit from the provisions of the first paragraph shall be determined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat.
