Article L3142-60 of the French Labour Code

When an employee is appointed as representative of an association governed by the law of 1st July 1901 relating to the contract of association or entered in the register of associations in application of the local civil code applicable to the departments of Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin and Moselle or of a mutual insurance association within the meaning of the mutual insurance code to sit on a body, whether consultative or not, set up by a legislative or regulatory provision with a State authority or a local authority, the employer shall allow him the time necessary to attend meetings of this body.

Lorsqu’un salarié est désigné représentant d’une association régie par la loi du 1er juillet 1901 relative au contrat d’association ou inscrite au registre des associations en application du code civil local applicable aux départements du Bas-Rhin, du Haut-Rhin et de la Moselle ou d’une mutuelle au sens du code de la mutualité pour siéger dans une instance, que celle-ci soit consultative ou non, instituée par une disposition législative ou réglementaire auprès d’une autorité de l’Etat ou d’une collectivité territoriale, l’employeur lui accorde le temps nécessaire pour participer aux réunions de cette instance.
