Article L3142-83 of the French Labour Code

The employment contract of an employee who is a member of the National Assembly or the Senate is, at his request, suspended until the expiry of his term of office, if he can prove that he has been with the employer for at least one year on the date he takes up his post.

Le contrat de travail d’un salarié membre de l’Assemblée nationale ou du Sénat est, sur sa demande, suspendu jusqu’à l’expiration de son mandat, s’il justifie d’une ancienneté minimale d’une année chez l’employeur à la date de son entrée en fonction.
