Article L3142-99 of the French Labour Code

Where the employment contract is terminated for another legitimate reason by one of the parties, the termination of the contract may not be notified or take effect during the period spent on national service.

These provisions do not apply if the purpose for which the employment contract was concluded expires during this period.

Lorsque le contrat de travail est rompu pour une autre cause légitime par l’une des parties, la rupture du contrat ne peut être notifiée ni prendre effet pendant la période passée au service national.

Ces dispositions ne sont pas applicables si l’objet pour lequel le contrat de travail a été conclu arrive à échéance pendant cette période.
