All consumers have the right to have recourse free of charge to a mediator under the conditions laid down in Chapter II of Title I of Book VI of the Consumer Code with a view to resolving a dispute between them and a credit institution, finance company, electronic money institution, payment institution or account information service provider relating to the services provided and the performance of contracts concluded under this Title and Title II of this Book and relating to the products mentioned in Titles I and II of Book II.
An annual activity report drawn up by each mediator is sent to the Chairman of the Consumer Mediation Evaluation and Monitoring Commission referred to in Article L. 615-1 of the Consumer Code, to the Governor of the Banque de France and to the Chairman of the Advisory Committee set up under Article L. 614-1.
