Article L321-7 of the French Insurance Code

Undertakings subject to State supervision pursuant to Article L. 310-1 and referred to in 3° of Article L. 310-2 may not commence their operations under an establishment regime in France until they have obtained administrative authorisation. This authorisation is not required for reinsurance acceptance operations.

The authorisation referred to in the first paragraph of this Article is issued in accordance with the provisions of the second and third paragraphs of Article L. 321-1.

Article L321-7

Les entreprises soumises au contrôle de l’Etat en vertu de l’article L. 310-1 et visées au 3° de l’article L. 310-2 ne peuvent commencer leurs opérations en régime d’établissement en France qu’après avoir obtenu un agrément administratif. Cet agrément n’est pas exigé pour ce qui concerne les opérations d’acceptation en réassurance.

L’agrément mentionné au premier alinéa du présent article est délivré conformément aux dispositions des deuxième et troisième alinéas de l’article L. 321-1.
