Article L3252-13 of the French Labour Code

The court may decide, at the request of the debtor or the creditor and having regard to the percentage of the remuneration that may be seized, the amount of the claim and the rate of interest due, that the claim that is the subject of the seizure shall bear interest at a reduced rate from the date of authorisation of the seizure or that the sums deducted from the remuneration shall first be deducted from the capital.

The late payment surcharges provided for inarticle 3 of law no. 75-619 of 11 July 1975 relating to the legal interest rate cease to apply to the sums withheld from the day on which they are deducted from the remuneration.

Article L3252-13

Le juge peut décider, à la demande du débiteur ou du créancier et en considération de la quotité saisissable de la rémunération, du montant de la créance et du taux des intérêts dus, que la créance cause de la saisie produira intérêt à un taux réduit à compter de l’autorisation de saisie ou que les sommes retenues sur la rémunération s’imputeront d’abord sur le capital.

Les majorations de retard prévues par l’article 3 de la loi n° 75-619 du 11 juillet 1975 relative au taux de l’intérêt légal cessent de s’appliquer aux sommes retenues à compter du jour de leur prélèvement sur la rémunération.
