Article L3254-1 of the French Labour Code

All employers are prohibited from

1° To annex to his establishment a commissary intended for the direct or indirect sale to employees and their families of foodstuffs or goods of any kind whatsoever ;

2° To require employees to spend all or part of their wages in shops designated by the employer.

Il est interdit à tout employeur :

1° D’annexer à son établissement un économat destiné à la vente, directe ou indirecte, aux salariés et à leurs familles de denrées ou marchandises de quelque nature que ce soit ;

2° D’imposer au salarié l’obligation de dépenser tout ou partie de leur salaire dans des magasins désignés par lui.
