Article L326-27 of the French Insurance Code

Where an insurance undertaking disposes of for valuable consideration, by a deed concluded after the adoption of a reorganisation measure or the opening of winding-up proceedings:

1° Real estate ;

2° A ship or aircraft subject to registration in a public register;

3° Financial instruments whose existence or transfer requires registration in an account;

The validity of this act is governed by French law if the property is located within the territory of the French Republic or if the register or account is kept under its authority.

Lorsqu’une entreprise d’assurance aliène à titre onéreux, par un acte conclu après l’adoption d’une mesure d’assainissement ou l’ouverture d’une procédure de liquidation :

1° Un bien immobilier ;

2° Un navire ou un aéronef soumis à inscription sur un registre public ;

3° Des instruments financiers dont l’existence ou le transfert suppose une inscription en compte ;

La validité de cet acte est régie par la loi française si ce bien est situé sur le territoire de la République française ou si ce registre, ou ce compte, est tenu sous son autorité.
