Article L332-6 of the French Sports Code

During a sporting event or the public broadcast of such an event in a sports venue, inciting spectators by any means whatsoever to hatred or violence towards the referee, a sports judge, a player or any other person or group of people is punishable by one year’s imprisonment and a fine of 15,000 euros.

Lors d’une manifestation sportive ou de la retransmission en public d’une telle manifestation dans une enceinte sportive, le fait de provoquer, par quelque moyen que ce soit, des spectateurs à la haine ou à la violence à l’égard de l’arbitre, d’un juge sportif, d’un joueur ou de toute autre personne ou groupe de personnes est puni d’un an d’emprisonnement et de 15 000 euros d’amende.
