Article L3355-7 of the French Public Health Code

Infringement of the provisions of a judgement or the law prohibiting the practice of the profession of public housekeeper is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of 4,500 euros.

For the duration of this prohibition, the convicted person may not, subject to the same penalties, be employed in any capacity whatsoever in the establishment that he was operating, even if he has sold or managed it. Nor may they be employed in an establishment operated by their spouse, even if separated.

L’infraction aux dispositions d’un jugement ou de la loi portant interdiction d’exercer la profession de débitant de boissons est punie de deux ans d’emprisonnement et de 4500 euros d’amende.

Pendant la durée de cette interdiction, la personne condamnée ne peut, sous les mêmes peines, être employée à quelque titre que ce soit dans l’établissement qu’elle exploitait, même si elle l’a vendu ou mis en gérance. Elle ne peut non plus être employée dans l’établissement qui serait exploité par son conjoint même séparé.
