Article L341-6 of the French Consumer Code

A lender who has not complied with the obligations relating to informing the borrower in the event of a change in the borrowing rate set out in article L. 312-31 and, for account overdraft transactions, in article L. 312-89 is deprived of the right to interest, in full or in the proportion set by the judge.

Le prêteur qui n’a pas respecté les obligations relatives à l’information de l’emprunteur en cas de modification du taux débiteur fixées à l’article L. 312-31 et, pour les opérations de découvert en compte, à l’article L. 312-89 est déchu du droit aux intérêts, en totalité ou dans la proportion fixée par le juge.
