Article L343-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Throughout the period of detention in the waiting area, foreign nationals have the rights granted to them in article L. 343-1.
The public prosecutor and, after the first four days, the liberty and detention judge, may visit the premises to check the conditions of this placement and obtain the register mentioned in the second paragraph of article L. 341-2.

Pendant toute la durée du maintien en zone d’attente, l’étranger dispose des droits qui lui sont reconnus à l’article L. 343-1.
Le procureur de la République ainsi que, à l’issue des quatre premiers jours, le juge des libertés et de la détention, peuvent se rendre sur place pour vérifier les conditions de ce placement et se faire communiquer le registre mentionné au second alinéa de l’article L. 341-2.
Le procureur de la République visite les zones d’attente chaque fois qu’il l’estime nécessaire et au moins une fois par an.
