Article L353-6 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

It is punishable by six months’ imprisonment and a fine of 9,000 euros for any person to fail to comply with the obligations imposed by articles L. 342-1 to L. 342-3 in respect of transactions in precious materials and banknotes.

The materials referred to in articles L. 342-1 to L. 342-3 must be seized and confiscated.

Article L353-6

Est puni d’un emprisonnement de six mois et d’une amende de 9 000 euros, le fait, pour toute personne, de méconnaître les obligations prescrites au titre des opérations sur matières précieuses et des billets de banque, par les articles L. 342-1 à L. 342-3.

La saisie et la confiscation des matières mentionnées aux articles L. 342-1 à L. 342-3 sont obligatoires.
