The Conseil départemental de l’ordre will decide on the application for inclusion on the roll within a maximum of three months from receipt of the application, accompanied by a complete file.
The procedures by which the departmental council verifies that the applicant is not professionally incompetent, disabled or suffering from a medical condition that makes it dangerous to practise the profession are laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
In the case of third-country nationals, the time limit is extended to six months if it is necessary to carry out an investigation outside mainland France. The person concerned is notified.
Within one week of the Council’s decision, the interested party will be notified by registered letter. If registration is refused, reasons must be given for the decision.
The Conseil national de l’ordre must be notified immediately of each entry on the roll.
