The decisions of the departmental council on applications for entry on the roll may be appealed to the regional council, by the applicant doctor, dental surgeon or midwife, in the case of a refusal of entry, or to the national council, in the case of a decision to enter. On expiry of the time limit set for the departmental council to take a decision, any silence on its part constitutes an implicit decision to refuse registration, which may be appealed.
The Regional Council will immediately notify the doctor, dental surgeon or midwife who is the subject of the decision, the Departmental Council and the National Council of the Association, of the Regional Council’s decisions regarding registration on the roll.
The time limit for appeals, both to the Regional Council and to the National Council, is thirty days from either notification of the express decision appealed against, or from the day on which the implied rejection decision of the Departmental Council is acquired.
If the persons concerned have not duly lodged an appeal against a registration decision, the National Council may, within three months of the expiry of the time limit for appeal, withdraw that decision if it is based on a material inaccuracy or a manifest error of assessment of the conditions to which registration is subject.
