In establishments holding an on-trade or take-away licence or a restaurant licence, consumers are informed, by means of a legible display on menus, wine lists or any other medium, of the origin and, where applicable, the name of the protected designation of origin or protected geographical indication of the wines offered for sale in bottle, jug or glass form.
The detailed rules for the application of this article are laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat after the European Commission has declared the obligation laid down in this article to be compatible with European Union law.
