Article L4141-5 of the French Public Health Code

Practitioners who hold both, pursuant to 1° of article L. 4111-1, one of the diplomas, certificates or titles required for the practice of the profession of doctor, and one of the diplomas, certificates or titles required for the practice of the profession of dental surgeon, may be registered, at their choice, with the ordre des médecins or the ordre des chirurgiens-dentistes. In the latter case, their practice must be limited to dentistry and they do not have the right to practise medicine.

Les praticiens munis à la fois en application du 1° de l’article L. 4111-1 de l’un des diplômes, certificats ou titres exigés pour l’exercice de la profession de médecin, et de l’un des diplômes, certificats ou titres exigés pour l’exercice de la profession de chirurgien-dentiste, peuvent se faire inscrire, à leur choix, à l’ordre des médecins ou à l’ordre des chirurgiens-dentistes. Dans ce dernier cas, leur pratique doit se limiter à l’art dentaire et ils n’ont pas le droit d’exercer la médecine.
