The Conseil national de l’ordre des pharmaciens defends the legality and morality of the profession.
It coordinates the activities of the central councils of the different sections of the order and acts as an arbitrator between the different branches of the profession.
It meets at least four times a year.
It deliberates on matters submitted to it by the Minister for Health and by the central councils.
It receives all communications and suggestions from the central councils and follows them up in a way that best reconciles the normal interests of the profession and the higher interests of public health.
It is qualified to represent pharmacy, in its field of activity, in dealings with the public authorities and assistance organisations.
It may deal at national level with all matters of mutual aid and professional solidarity, in particular claims and pensions.
It organises the implementation of the pharmaceutical file mentioned in article L. 161-36-4-2 of the Social Security Code.
