After receiving the opinion of the central councils, the National Council approves the general budget of the Order, which is intended to cover the costs of setting up and running the various ordinal councils and delegations, as well as their joint costs.
The National Council sets the amount of the compulsory annual fee charged to each natural person or legal entity registered on the Rolls according to category. It collects these dues, which must be paid within thirty days of being called.
No dues are payable by medical reservists, retired pharmacists recruited as volunteer firefighters, or pharmacists covered by the provisions of article L. 4143-1 of the Defence Code, if they only practise the profession in this capacity.
The National Council manages the Order’s assets, defines its property policy and monitors its implementation. It may create or subsidise organisations of interest to the pharmaceutical profession, as well as mutual aid organisations.
The National Council supervises the management of the central and regional councils of the Ordre des pharmaciens. It may request any document it deems necessary for this control.
These control procedures are set out in the budgetary and accounting regulations of the Order, issued by the national council after consultation with the central councils and applicable to all the bodies of the Order.
An auditor certifies the accounts of the Order of Pharmacists annually.
The national council also ensures that the central and regional councils are carrying out their legal duties and may request any document it deems necessary for this control. The procedures for this coordination and control are set out in the internal regulations of the Order, issued by the national council after consultation with the central councils and applicable to all the bodies of the Order.
