The principles governing elections to the various councils of the Ordre des pharmaciens are laid down by decree. An electoral regulation drawn up by the national council of the order lays down the procedures.
After each election, the minutes of the election are notified without delay to the central council concerned, the national council, the director general of the regional health agency and the minister responsible for health.
The elections include the appointment of a substitute for each full member.
The representatives on the councils of the order of sections and various categories of pharmacists are elected by professionals from these same sections and categories.
Elections to the councils may be referred to the administrative court under conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
