Article L425-4 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Foreign nationals who are victims of the offences of trafficking in human beings or procuring, as referred to in articles 225-4-1 to 225-4-6 and 225-5 to 225-10 of the French Penal Code, and who, having ceased prostitution, are engaged in the process of leaving prostitution and finding social and professional integration as referred to in article L. 121-9 of the French Social Action and Family Code, may be issued with a provisional residence permit for a minimum period of six months. The condition set out in article L. 412-1 does not apply.
This temporary residence permit entitles the holder to work.
It is renewed for the duration of the pathway out of prostitution and into social and professional integration, provided that the conditions laid down for its issue continue to be met.

L’étranger victime des infractions de traite des êtres humains ou de proxénétisme, visées aux articles 225-4-1 à 225-4-6 et 225-5 à 225-10 du code pénal qui, ayant cessé l’activité de prostitution, est engagé dans le parcours de sortie de la prostitution et d’insertion sociale et professionnelle mentionné à l’article L. 121-9 du code de l’action sociale et des familles, peut se voir délivrer une autorisation provisoire de séjour d’une durée minimale de six mois. La condition prévue à l’article L. 412-1 n’est pas opposable.
Cette autorisation provisoire de séjour ouvre droit à l’exercice d’une activité professionnelle.
Elle est renouvelée pendant toute la durée du parcours de sortie de la prostitution et d’insertion sociale et professionnelle, sous réserve que les conditions prévues pour sa délivrance continuent d’être satisfaites.
