Article L4251-10 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Within six months of the general renewal of the regional councils, the president of the regional council presents the regional council with an assessment of the implementation of the plan. The Regional Council deliberates and may decide to maintain the regional plan for spatial planning, sustainable development and territorial equality in force, amend it, revise it in whole or in part, or repeal it. The abrogation decision takes effect on the date of publication of the order approving the new regional development plan drawn up in accordance with the conditions laid down in this chapter.

Dans les six mois suivant le renouvellement général des conseils régionaux, le président du conseil régional présente au conseil régional un bilan de la mise en œuvre du schéma. Celui-ci délibère et peut décider le maintien en vigueur du schéma régional d’aménagement, de développement durable et d’égalité des territoires, sa modification, sa révision partielle ou totale ou son abrogation. La décision d’abrogation prend effet à la date de publication de l’arrêté approuvant le nouveau schéma élaboré dans les conditions prévues au présent chapitre.
