Article L432-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

A resident card may not be issued to the spouses of a foreign national living in France in a state of polygamy.

The same applies to any foreigner convicted of committing the offence of violence leading to permanent mutilation or disability, as defined in article 222-9 of the Criminal Code, or having been an accomplice thereto.

Une carte de résident ne peut être délivrée aux conjoints d’un étranger qui vit en France en état de polygamie.


Il en va de même pour tout étranger condamné pour avoir commis sur un mineur de quinze ans l’infraction de violences ayant entrainé une mutilation ou une infirmité permanente, définie à l’article 222-9 du code pénal, ou s’être rendu complice de celle-ci.
