Article L4321-14 of the French Public Health Code

The Association of Physiotherapists ensures that the principles of morality, probity and competence essential to the practice of physiotherapy are upheld and that all its members observe their professional rights, duties and obligations, as well as the rules laid down in the Code of Ethics provided for in article L. 4321-21. It helps to promote public health and the quality of care.

It defends the honour and independence of the profession of masseur-physiotherapist.

It may organise any mutual aid work for the benefit of its members and their beneficiaries.

It may be consulted by the Minister for Health, particularly on matters relating to the practice of the profession of masseur-physiotherapist.

It carries out its mission through the intermediary of the departmental or interdepartmental councils, the regional or interregional councils and the national council of the Order.

Article L4321-14

L’ordre des masseurs-kinésithérapeutes veille au maintien des principes de moralité, de probité et de compétence indispensables à l’exercice de la masso-kinésithérapie et à l’observation, par tous ses membres, des droits, devoirs et obligations professionnels, ainsi que des règles édictées par le code de déontologie prévu à l’article L. 4321-21. Il contribue à promouvoir la santé publique et la qualité des soins.

Il assure la défense de l’honneur et de l’indépendance de la profession de masseur-kinésithérapeute.

Il peut organiser toute oeuvre d’entraide au bénéfice de ses membres et de leurs ayants droit.

II peut être consulté par le ministre chargé de la santé, notamment sur les questions relatives à l’exercice de la profession de masseur-kinésithérapeute.

Il accomplit sa mission par l’intermédiaire des conseils départementaux ou interdépartementaux, des conseils régionaux ou interrégionaux et du conseil national de l’ordre.
