Family reunification may also be applied for in respect of the applicant’s children under the age of eighteen and those of the applicant’s spouse if, on the day of the application:
1° Parentage is established only in respect of the applicant or the applicant’s spouse;
2° Or where the other parent is deceased or stripped of parental rights.

Article L434-3

Le regroupement familial peut également être demandé pour les enfants mineurs de dix-huit ans du demandeur et pour ceux de son conjoint si, au jour de la demande :
1° La filiation n’est établie qu’à l’égard du demandeur ou de son conjoint ;
2° Ou lorsque l’autre parent est décédé ou déchu de ses droits parentaux.
