Article L4352-3 of the French Public Health Code

A person may also practise the profession of medical laboratory technician and hold the title of medical laboratory technician if :

1° On 8 November 1976, was carrying out technical duties in a medical biology laboratory or had carried out these same duties for a period of at least six months prior to that date;

2° Prior to the date of publication of Order no. 2010-49 of 13 January 2010 relating to medical biology, has obtained a diploma, the list of which is set by an order of the Minister for Health;

3° obtains, after the date of publication of the aforementioned order, a diploma on the list mentioned in 2°, provided that the corresponding training began before the date of entry into force of the order mentioned in 2° of Article L. 4352-2;

4° Has obtained, by 31 December 1995, a diploma appearing on a list set by order of the Minister for Health.

Article L4352-3

Peut également exercer la profession de technicien de laboratoire médical et en porter le titre une personne qui :

1° Exerçait, à la date du 8 novembre 1976, des fonctions techniques dans un laboratoire de biologie médicale ou avait exercé ces mêmes fonctions pendant une durée au moins égale à six mois avant cette date ;

2° A obtenu, avant la date de la publication de l’ordonnance n° 2010-49 du 13 janvier 2010 relative à la biologie médicale, un diplôme dont la liste est fixée par un arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé ;

3° Obtient, après la date de la publication de l’ordonnance précitée, un diplôme figurant sur la liste mentionnée au 2°, dès lors que la formation correspondante a débuté avant la date d’entrée en vigueur de l’arrêté mentionné au 2° de l’article L. 4352-2 ;

4° A obtenu, à la date du 31 décembre 1995, un diplôme figurant sur une liste fixée par arrêté du ministre chargé de la santé.
