Persons who, before entering the profession, obtained the evidence of formal qualifications or authorisation required to practise as a medical laboratory technician or falling within the scope of 1° of article L. 4352-3 and articles L. 4352-3-1 and L. 4352-3-2, as well as those who, not practising as such, obtained their evidence of formal qualifications less than three years ago, are required to register with the service or body designated for this purpose by the Minister responsible for health.
The registration of these persons is carried out after verification of the supporting documents attesting to their identity and their training certificate or their authorisation or practice on the dates mentioned, respectively, in 1° of article L. 4352-3 and in articles L. 4352-3-1 and L. 4352-3-2. They must inform the same service or organisation of any change of residence or professional situation.
For people who have practised as medical laboratory technicians, the obligation to provide information about a change of residence is maintained for a period of three years from the date on which they ceased their activity.
The registration procedure is free of charge.
Subject to the provisions of article L. 4061-1, medical laboratory technicians may only practice their profession if the registration procedure has been properly completed.
