Article L4393-20 of the French Public Health Code

Under the responsibility of a regulating doctor, the medical regulation assistant takes calls received in a call reception and regulation centre of a healthcare access service or an emergency medical assistance service.

Under the supervision of a regulating doctor, he/she contributes to the optimal handling of calls received.

He/she provides support for the management of resources and the monitoring of calls and interventions, on a daily basis as well as in deteriorated situations and exceptional health situations.

Article L4393-20

L’assistant de régulation médicale assure, sous la responsabilité d’un médecin régulateur, la réception des appels reçus dans un centre de réception et de régulation des appels d’un service d’accès aux soins ou d’un service d’aide médicale urgente.

Il contribue, sous la supervision d’un médecin régulateur, au traitement optimal des appels reçus.

Il apporte un appui à la gestion des moyens et au suivi des appels et des interventions, au quotidien ainsi qu’en situation dégradée et en situation sanitaire exceptionnelle.
