The Ile-de-France region defines regional policy on green spaces, forests and promenades. It must be consulted on the investment programmes corresponding to its implementation. It may also propose other programmes.
The Ile-de-France region may contribute to expenditure on the acquisition, equipment and maintenance of these areas.
A green spaces agency for the Ile-de-France region, a regional public establishment of an administrative nature, is created. It is responsible for implementing regional policy in terms of green spaces, forests and promenades, and for coordinating the region’s actions in these areas with those of the State and its public establishments.
The agency’s budget receives the appropriations voted by the region in favour of green spaces, forests and promenades as well as contributions of all kinds from the State, local authorities and public and private individuals. The running of the agency is paid for by the region.
A decree in the Conseil d’Etat determines the organisation and running of this public establishment.
