Article L4421-9 of the French Public Health Code

A territorial council of the Ordre des Médecins will be constituted in the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands when the number of doctors practising there and fulfilling the conditions of eligibility provided for in article L. 4123-5 is at least double the minimum number provided for a departmental council.

Until such time as this is the case, the powers of the Conseil territorial de l’ordre des médecins or its president shall be exercised by the senior administrator of the territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands.

The provisions of this article shall apply to dental surgeons and midwives practising in Wallis and Futuna.

Article L4421-9

Un conseil territorial de l’ordre des médecins sera constitué dans le territoire des îles Wallis et Futuna lorsque le nombre de médecins y exerçant et remplissant les conditions d’éligibilité prévues à l’article L. 4123-5 sera au moins le double de l’effectif minima prévu pour un conseil départemental.

Jusqu’à ce qu’il en soit ainsi, les attributions du conseil territorial de l’ordre des médecins ou de son président sont exercées par l’administrateur supérieur du territoire des îles Wallis et Futuna.

Les dispositions du présent article sont applicables aux chirurgiens-dentistes et aux sages-femmes exerçant à Wallis et Futuna.
