Article L4442-1 of the French Public Health Code

Illegal practice of the profession of doctor, dental surgeon or midwife during a period of temporary disqualification or removal from the roll as provided for in article L. 4124-6 or L. 4441-10 is punishable by three months’ imprisonment and a fine of 9,000 euros.

In all cases, the judge may order the confiscation of the equipment used for the illegal practice.

L’exercice illégal de la profession de médecin, de chirurgien-dentiste ou de sage-femme pendant la durée d’une peine d’interdiction temporaire ou d’une peine de radiation du tableau de l’ordre prévues à l’article L. 4124-6 ou L. 4441-10 est puni d’un emprisonnement de trois mois et d’une amende de 9000 euros.

Dans tous les cas, la confiscation du matériel ayant permis l’exercice illégal peut être prononcée par le juge.
