Occupational health nurses recruited to a prevention and occupational health service must hold a State diploma or be authorised to practise without restriction, under the conditions laid down by the Public Health Code.
They have received specific training in occupational health, as defined by decree in the Conseil d’Etat.
If the nurse has not received training in occupational health, the employer shall enrol him/her in such training during the twelve months following his/her recruitment and, in the event of a contract lasting less than twelve months, before the end of his/her contract. In this case, the employer shall bear the cost of the training.
The employer shall encourage the continuing training of the occupational health nurses it recruits.
The tasks delegated to the occupational health nurse shall take account of his/her additional qualifications.
