Article L512-39 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The Boards of Directors of the Caisses Régionales de Crédit Agricole Mutuel have powers over the administration and management of the local mutuals affiliated to them similar to those conferred by Article L. 512-38 on the central body of Crédit Agricole over the administration and management of the local mutuals. The election by the boards of directors of the local mutual agricultural credit cooperatives of their chairman, vice-chairmen and managing directors must be approved by the regional agricultural credit cooperative, as must the amount of compensation that may be awarded pursuant toarticle 6 of law no. 47-1775 of 10 September 1947 on the status of the cooperative.

However, the decisions of the Boards of Directors of the Regional Mutuals concerning the appointment of a committee responsible for the provisional management of a local mutual are final only after approval by the central body of Crédit Agricole.

Les conseils d’administration des caisses régionales de crédit agricole mutuel ont sur l’administration et la gestion des caisses locales qui leur sont affiliées des pouvoirs analogues à ceux confiés par l’article L. 512-38 à l’organe central du crédit agricole sur l’administration et la gestion des caisses locales. L’élection, par les conseils d’administration des caisses locales de crédit agricole mutuel de leurs président, vice-présidents et administrateurs délégués doit être approuvée par la caisse régionale de crédit agricole, ainsi que le montant des indemnités compensatrices qui peuvent être attribuées en application de l’article 6 de la loi n° 47-1775 du 10 septembre 1947 portant statut de la coopération.

Mais les décisions des conseils d’administration des caisses régionales relatives à la nomination d’une commission chargée de la gestion provisoire d’une caisse locale ne sont définitives qu’après approbation par l’organe central du crédit agricole.
