Article L512-72 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The central body of the caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires supervises the regularity of the financial and accounting operations of the affiliated institutions mentioned in Article L. 512-69 ; it carries out all financial transactions on their behalf; it provides them with its services while respecting their legal and financial autonomy.

The decree provided for in Article L. 512-84 determines the conditions under which the central body of savings banks and banques populaires exercises these powers.

Article L512-72

L’organe central des caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires assure le contrôle de la régularité des opérations financières et comptables des établissements affiliés mentionnés à l’article L. 512-69 ; il effectue à leur bénéfice toutes opérations financières ; il leur apporte ses services dans le respect de leur autonomie juridique et financière.

Le décret prévu à l’article L. 512-84 détermine les conditions dans lesquelles l’organe central des caisses d’épargne et des banques populaires exerce ces attributions.
