Article L512-73 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The regional mutuals and the associations constitute a special category of commercial companies governed by this section and by the non-contradictory provisions of law no. 47-1775 of 10 September 1947 on the status of cooperative societies, by the provisions of the Commercial Code relating to variable capital companies, by articles L. 231-1 to L. 231-8 and by 2° of article L. 238-3 of the Commercial Code. The Regional Mutuals and, where applicable, the Associations are also governed by the provisions of this Code applicable to credit institutions. Their articles of association must comply with standard articles of association approved under conditions determined by the decree provided for in article L. 512-84.

Les caisses régionales et les unions constituent une catégorie particulière de sociétés commerciales régies par la présente section et par les dispositions non contraires de la loi n° 47-1775 du 10 septembre 1947 portant statut de la coopération par les dispositions du code de commerce relatives aux sociétés à capital variable, des articles L. 231-1 à L. 231-8 et du 2° de l’article L. 238-3 du code de commerce. Les caisses régionales et, le cas échéant, les unions sont en outre régies par les dispositions du présent code applicables aux établissements de crédit. Leurs statuts doivent être conformes à des statuts types approuvés dans des conditions déterminées par le décret prévu à l’article L. 512-84.
