Article L513-10-5 of the French Public Health Code

A tattooing product may only be placed on the market, whether free of charge or for a fee, if it meets the following conditions:

1° Its container and packaging must bear the name or company name and address of the person responsible for placing the product on the market, as well as any other information required by regulation;

2° The person responsible for placing the product on the market must make available to the supervisory authorities, at the above address, a file containing all the information required under articles L. 513-10-3 and L. 513-10-4, on the qualitative and quantitative formula, physico-chemical and microbiological specifications, manufacturing and control conditions, safety assessment for human health and undesirable effects of this product.

Un produit de tatouage ne peut être mis sur le marché à titre gratuit ou onéreux que s’il remplit les conditions suivantes :

1° Son récipient et son emballage comportent le nom ou la raison sociale et l’adresse de la personne responsable de la mise sur le marché du produit, ainsi que les autres mentions prévues par voie réglementaire ;

2° La personne responsable de la mise sur le marché du produit tient effectivement à la disposition des autorités de contrôle, à l’adresse mentionnée ci-dessus, un dossier rassemblant toutes les informations utiles, au regard des articles L. 513-10-3 et L. 513-10-4, sur la formule qualitative et quantitative, les spécifications physico-chimiques et microbiologiques, les conditions de fabrication et de contrôle, l’évaluation de la sécurité pour la santé humaine et les effets indésirables de ce produit.
