Article L513-6 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The judicial authority shall communicate to the Director General of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons and to the President of the National Court of Asylum, on request or of its own motion, any information obtained in the course of civil proceedings or criminal investigations, including where these have been dismissed, which may give rise to suspicion that a person seeking asylum or who has been granted refugee status or subsidiary protection is covered by one of the exclusion clauses mentioned in Articles L. 511-6 and L. 512-2 or Article 1 of the New York Convention of 28 September 1954 relating to the Status of Stateless Persons or of a refusal or termination of protection pursuant to Article L. 511-7.

L’autorité judiciaire communique au directeur général de l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides et au président de la Cour nationale du droit d’asile, sur demande ou d’office, tout élément recueilli au cours d’une instance civile ou d’une information criminelle ou correctionnelle, y compris lorsque celle-ci s’est terminée par un non-lieu, de nature à faire suspecter qu’une personne qui demande l’asile ou qui a obtenu le statut de réfugié ou le bénéfice de la protection subsidiaire relève de l’une des clauses d’exclusion mentionnées aux articles L. 511-6 et L. 512-2 ou à l’article 1er de la convention de New York, du 28 septembre 1954, relative au statut des apatrides ou d’un refus ou d’une fin de protection en application de l’article L. 511-7.
