Article L5216-4-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

In agglomeration communities with a population of at least 400,000, the allowances voted by the community council for the exercise of the mandate of community councillor are at most equal to 28% of the reference term mentioned in I of article L. 2123-20.

In agglomeration communities with a population of between 100,000 and 399,999, these allowances are at most equal to 6% of the reference term mentioned in the same I.

When the size of the deliberative body has been determined by application of 2° of I of the’article L. 5211-6-1, the total amount of the allowances paid in application of the first two paragraphs of this article may not exceed the total amount of the allowances that could have been granted if this workforce had been determined in application of 1° of I of article L. 5211-6-1.

Article L5216-4-1

Dans les communautés d’agglomération de 400 000 habitants au moins, les indemnités votées par le conseil de la communauté pour l’exercice du mandat de conseiller communautaire sont au maximum égales à 28 % du terme de référence mentionné au I de l’article L. 2123-20.

Dans les communautés d’agglomération dont la population est comprise entre 100 000 et 399 999 habitants, ces indemnités sont au maximum égales à 6 % du terme de référence mentionné au même I.

Lorsque l’effectif de l’organe délibérant a été déterminé par application du 2° du I de l’article L. 5211-6-1, le montant total des indemnités versées en application des deux premiers alinéas du présent article ne peut être supérieur au montant total des indemnités qui auraient pu être attribuées si cet effectif avait été déterminé en application du 1° du I de l’article L. 5211-6-1.
