Article L5424-6 of the French Public Health Code

The following is punishable by two years’ imprisonment and a fine of €150,000 for a pharmacist:

1° Operating a pharmacy without medicines being prepared by or under the direct supervision of a pharmacist;

2° Dispensing a magistral or officinal preparation containing one or more substances whose use in such preparations is prohibited.

3° Dispensing simple drugs, chemical products or preparations that do not meet the specifications described in the pharmacopoeia;

4° Selling secret remedies.

Est puni de deux ans d’emprisonnement et de 150 000 € d’amende, le fait pour un pharmacien :

1° D’exploiter une officine sans que les médicaments soient préparés par ou sous la surveillance directe d’un pharmacien ;

2° De dispenser une préparation magistrale ou officinale comportant une ou des substances dont l’utilisation pour ces préparations est interdite.

3° De dispenser des drogues simples, des produits chimiques ou des préparations qui ne répondent pas aux spécifications décrites à la pharmacopée ;

4° De vendre des remèdes secrets.
