Article L572-23 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Any person subject to the obligation to make the declaration referred to in Article L. 54-10-3 is liable to one year’s imprisonment and a fine of €15,000 for failing to make this declaration or for providing inaccurate information to the Autorité des marchés financiers.

Any person acting either on his own behalf or on behalf of a legal entity who fails to comply with one of the prohibitions set out in Article L. 54-10-4 shall be liable to two years’ imprisonment and a fine of €30,000.

Article L572-23

Est puni d’un an d’emprisonnement et de 15 000 € d’amende le fait, pour toute personne soumise à l’obligation de déclaration mentionnée à l’article L. 54-10-3, de ne pas souscrire cette déclaration ou de communiquer des renseignements inexacts à l’Autorité des marchés financiers.

Est puni de deux ans d’emprisonnement et de 30 000 € d’amende le fait, pour toute personne agissant soit pour son propre compte, soit pour le compte d’une personne morale, de méconnaître l’une des interdictions prévues à l’article L. 54-10-4.
