Article L572-26 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

It is punishable by six months’ imprisonment and a fine of €7,500 for any person providing services on digital assets within the meaning of Article L. 54-10-2, to disseminate information containing inaccurate or misleading information or to use a name, company name, advertising or any other process that gives the impression that it is approved under the conditions set out in Article L. 54-10-5.

Article L572-26

Est puni de six mois d’emprisonnement et de 7 500 € d’amende le fait, pour toute personne fournissant des services sur actifs numériques au sens de l’article L. 54-10-2, de diffuser des informations comportant des indications inexactes ou trompeuses ou d’utiliser une dénomination, une raison sociale, une publicité ou tout autre procédé laissant croire qu’elle est agréée dans les conditions prévues à l’article L. 54-10-5.
