Article L6111-1-5 of the French Public Health Code

For safety reasons, public and private health establishments authorised under article L. 6122-1 to operate an obstetrics and gynaecology unit offer pregnant women a temporary non-medical accommodation service when the situation at home means that access to an appropriate obstetrics and gynaecology unit takes longer than a certain period.

A Conseil d’Etat decree specifies:

1° The conditions of access to this service, in particular the period during which it is offered to pregnant women;

2° The terms and conditions of its allocation;

3° The organisation of this service, which the establishment may delegate to a third party under an agreement.

Pour des motifs de sécurité, les établissements de santé publics et privés autorisés en application de l’article L. 6122-1 à faire fonctionner une unité de gynécologie obstétrique proposent aux femmes enceintes une prestation d’hébergement temporaire non médicalisé lorsque la situation de leur domicile implique une durée d’accès à une unité adaptée de gynécologie obstétrique supérieure à un seuil.

Un décret en Conseil d’Etat précise :

1° Les conditions d’accès à cette prestation, notamment la période au cours de laquelle elle est proposée aux femmes enceintes ;

2° Les modalités de son attribution ;

3° L’organisation de cette prestation, que l’établissement peut déléguer à un tiers par voie de convention.
