Article L6111-5 of the French Public Health Code

As stated in the first paragraph of article L. 2223-39 of the French General Local Authorities Code, reproduced below:

“Public or private health establishments that meet the conditions laid down by decree in the Conseil d’Etat must have a mortuary in which the bodies of persons who have died there must be deposited. However, the mortuary may also receive, for a fee, the bodies of people who have died outside these establishments if there is no funeral home nearby. “

Comme il est dit au premier alinéa de l’article L. 2223-39 du code général des collectivités territoriales ci-après reproduit :

” Les établissements de santé publics ou privés qui remplissent les conditions fixées par décret en Conseil d’Etat doivent disposer d’une chambre mortuaire dans laquelle doit être déposé le corps des personnes qui y sont décédées. Toutefois, la chambre mortuaire peut accessoirement recevoir, à titre onéreux, les corps des personnes décédées hors de ces établissements en cas d’absence de chambre funéraire à sa proximité. “
