Article L613-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Foreign nationals who are notified of a decision requiring them to leave French territory are informed, by means of this written notification, of the conditions, laid down in articles L. 722-3 and L. 722-7, under which this decision may be enforced ex officio.
Where the period for voluntary departure has not been granted, the foreign national is given the opportunity, as soon as possible, to notify a counsel, their consulate or a person of their choice.

L’étranger auquel est notifiée une décision portant obligation de quitter le territoire français est informé, par cette notification écrite, des conditions, prévues aux articles L. 722-3 et L. 722-7, dans lesquelles cette décision peut être exécutée d’office.
Lorsque le délai de départ volontaire n’a pas été accordé, l’étranger est mis en mesure, dans les meilleurs délais, d’avertir un conseil, son consulat ou une personne de son choix.
